Geometry Integrated with Algebra

Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
36 week course beginning August 19, 2019 through May 27, 2020.
Classes are
 held in the Allied Gardens/Grantville area of San Diego.

  • Pre-requisite: Proficiency with basic Algebra I concepts.*

  • Minimum of 6 students, maximum 12.

  • Fee: $470 per semester including materials. No curriculum purchase required.
    A 5% cash discount is applied if tuition is paid at the start of the semester. See payment terms.

  • Instructor provides text (Discovering Geometry by Michael Serra, 4th Ed), notes, supplemental handouts / activities, and solutions

  • Each student will need a set of geometry tools, a sturdy 1-1/2" 3-ring binder, and a scientific calculator.

*Solving equations and proportions, linear equations, systems of equations, radicals and quadratics are the Algebra skills used in this course. Each chapter of the text has an Algebra skills refresher section, but this is review assuming the student has learned the concepts before.

Pre-class placement evaluation available on request. Students who are close to this level but lacking some areas may be able to fill gaps as they go, if they are willing to work hard to so. Ask the instructor if in doubt.
