Last year, our first year of home school, we used Khan as we explored the best approaches for teaching/learning math and as we went back to review some math basics. We really liked Khan''s instructional videos. We especially like using the program to explore "why" math works - like why borrowing works and Singapore style place value using imaginary marbles and marble cans.

We did use other resources (math textbooks & workbooks & other on-line sources) but Khan was one of our favorites. This year we are looking to supplement with a program that assesses - which Khan Academy is not designed to do - but we will most certainly return to this amazing, free resource.
