Over a number of years I have participated on email loops where math issues have been discussed. As my own methods have developed, several questions seem to crop up repeatedly and I've attempted to put q&a regarding these issues in one central location. This is a work in process (as am I!) so please view these in that spirit as I try to condense and summarize these postings.

You sound like a strong math person. I'm a non-math person. I fear if I approach math as your family does, would we get very far at all?
I'm afraid to let go of the curriculum, does living math mean I have to?
Doesn't a child need to keep doing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division time tables? Don't they need repetition?
What is "living math"?
